DRAGON ZONE STAFFING
Dragon Zone Paddling Club is committed to providing consistently high quality service in order to ensure that you get the most out of your paddling experience. Staff will be available during club operating hours during peak season.
COACH BOAT BOOKINGS Dragon Zone Paddling Club owns two coach boats for teams that regularly practice once or more a week. For teams wishing to use the coach boat the following rules apply:
- Coach boat operator must possess a valid Pleasure Craft Operator Certificate and submit a copy of certificate to the Dragon Zone Paddling Club Coordinator.
- Dragon Zone staff must meet with the operator prior to the first time using the coach boat. This initial session will go over care of the coach boat, motor and lock up procedures.
- Teams wishing to book a coach boat must sign up no more then one week in advance.
- Coach boat Operator and his/her team is responsible for all damage and loss to motor and/or boat. Team Manager and operator must sign responsibility waiver before taking coach boat the first time.
CANOES, KAYAKS OUTRIGGERS Dragon Zone members who are only on a dragon boat team have use of our fleet of six marathon canoes and two OC6s. NEW THIS YEAR: Dragon Zone members who hold “Individual Memberships” have access to all of the above noted boats, as well as the single and two person kayaks and canoes. Before using any of the small boats, members must first participate in an orientation session provided by Dragon Zone staff, or be the holder of a valid certificate that indicates the individual has been trained on the boat they wish to use. There will be a small fee for the familiarization classes and workshops.
Those wishing to book boats must reserve them at least one week in advance. If the boats are not reserved, individuals may take them out without prior booking.
Please note that individual bookings are 60 minutes in length. You may book for more than one slot if no one has reserved after you.
PADDLERS’ LOUNGE
All teams have access to this meeting room. If you need to use the room for a team meeting and/or a video session please contact the Dragon Zone Paddling Club coordinator to book it. If you have some paddling memorabilia that you would like to donate please contact the Dragon Zone Paddling Club Coordinator.
